A Lobby element's underlying query takes longer than a minute to run, causing a timeout error — is this controlled by the Lobby page's own auto-refresh interval setting, and is there a way to increase it (App9, IEE client)?

Answer

This is a different setting from the auto-refresh interval — the refresh interval controls how often the lobby re-runs its query, not how long any single query run is allowed to take before timing out. The actual query-execution timeout for a lobby element is controlled by the timeoutLobbyElement key in the IEE client's own Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.appsettings configuration file, which defaults to 60000 milliseconds (60 seconds) if not explicitly set — use -1 for no timeout (infinite). This setting only applies to the IEE client specifically, not Aurena. If you do increase this timeout, make sure the lobby's separate auto-refresh interval is set generously enough to give the longer-running query room to actually complete before the next refresh cycle kicks in.
