This is often achievable by duplicating the relevant underlying entity through Query Designer and building a new custom tab/page section around that duplicate, rather than requiring a code-level restoration — treat a "missing tab from the old generation" request as a configuration/Query Designer exercise to investigate before assuming it needs custom development.
