Answer
The older Access Provider concept, used by .NET/Java-based custom integrations, will be deprecated alongside Enterprise Explorer itself, as IFS Aurena becomes the sole client going forward. For the full remaining lifetime of the IFS Applications 10 product line specifically, BOTH client types, EE and Aurena, and all existing Access Providers continue to be supported. However, in IFS's subsequent major product release beyond Apps10, Enterprise Explorer is no longer available at all, having been fully replaced by Aurena, and Access Provider libraries are not available in that release either. In that same next major release, all previously Activity/Service-based integration points have been replaced by RESTful OData APIs instead — integrations relying on Access Providers or basic authentication built for Apps10 should be planned with this future architecture shift in mind.
