This points to a timing race between the Validate command completing and the Finish command firing — client-side validation can be asynchronous, so a Finish triggered before validation has actually resolved needs a second key press to complete; review the assistant so Finish only runs after Validate has fully finished, and capture client logs/network traces if it needs escalating.
