An image uploaded to Appearance Configuration's Resources can't be removed afterward — only an "Upload" option is available, with no visible delete option.

Answer

Switch the Resources page to its table window view (rather than the default view) — a delete icon appears against each selected record in that view, which isn't visible or available in the default presentation of the same screen.
