Is there a way in PL/SQL to capture a value from an API call's response — for example, the generated Pick List number returned by a Shop Order-related API call?

Use Copy Special from the Debug console on the relevant API call: with Debug enabled, trigger the action normally, then use Copy Special to copy the exact call (with its actual runtime parameter values) out of the debug trace. Paste that into a PL/SQL Test window and execute it there — this lets you run the exact same call standalone and directly inspect its return value/output, rather than needing to reverse-engineer the call signature and guess at parameters yourself.
