Rather than building a custom scheduled task for this, check the System Parameters screen for the retention parameter controlling how long jobs in that specific status are kept — setting it to 0 and waiting for the existing periodic cleanup job to run (roughly within about ten minutes) purges jobs in that status through the platform's own built-in cleanup mechanism, without needing a separate custom bulk-delete task.
