Running `_create_project_root.cmd` on Apps9 fails with 'Could not load definitions from resource net/sf/antcontrib/antlib.xml' and subsequent xcopy 'Invalid number of parameters' errors, even with Java JDK and Apache ANT both properly installed — what's a commonly overlooked cause?

Answer

Check whether the Build Home folder's own path contains a space (e.g. a folder literally named something like 'Build Home' or a similar multi-word name) — this breaks the underlying Ant and xcopy scripts the project-root creation process relies on. Rename the Build Home folder to remove the space (e.g. replacing it with an underscore), then run _create_project_root.cmd again as Administrator, accepting the default PROJECT_ROOT path (just press Enter) rather than typing a custom path with its own potential spacing issues.
