The IFS Aurena Extension, which previously worked fine, starts showing an error in User Settings after being rolled out to a broader set of machines via SCCM, even though the extension and its MSI both appear to have installed correctly.

Answer

This has often turned out to be a browser-caching issue rather than an actual installation problem. Try loading Aurena in an Incognito/private browser window first to rule out cached state; if that resolves it, clear your regular browser cache. If the issue persists, also clear Aurena's own server-side caches by visiting the ClearCache (projection cache) and clearmetadatacache URLs for your environment (the same cache-clearing mechanism used for other stale-metadata symptoms like missing custom fields). If none of that resolves it, uninstalling and reinstalling the Aurena Extension itself as a last resort has cleared this up in confirmed cases, particularly after a mass SCCM-based rollout.
