Check whether the service account itself (commonly IFSPRINT) has ended up with a Locked status in the database — a locked account will fail authentication with an Unauthorised-style error even when the username and password being supplied are technically correct, since the account itself simply can't log in while locked. Unlocking the account resolves the registration failure.
