What actually happens if the replica-count setting is left unspecified during a Kubernetes-based installation?

Answer

Omitting it generally falls back to a low default (often a single replica per service), which can be fine for a test setup but means no redundancy if a pod fails and limited ability to scale — explicitly set replica counts for any environment where availability or load matters, rather than relying on the installer's default.
