Where is the correct location, respecting language-specific subfolders, to place a Crystal Report layout (.rpt) file on the application server — it doesn't seem to be automatically copied there by the Delivery Builder the way other artifacts are?

Answer

Crystal Report layout (.rpt) files aren't automatically copied into place by the Delivery Builder/installer the way other IFS artifacts are. When using Crystal Web Service, for Web Client, IEE, and Aurena alike, the .rpt layout files need to be manually copied to whatever location Crystal Web Service is actually configured to read them from, respecting the expected per-language folder structure. A manual installation folder is one reasonable place to keep them, though the exact target location depends on how Crystal Web Service itself is configured, via its report-path setting. Check IFS's own Crystal Web Service installation/configuration documentation for the specifics of setting and troubleshooting that configured layout location.
