Is it possible to print photos attached as evidence to work task steps as part of the generated Work Task report, since there's no standard/out-of-the-box option for this?

Answer

There's no built-in feature for this, but a working custom pattern exists: add custom fields on the Work Task and Work Task Step pages that resolve to the media item ID of an attached image (filtered to only media flagged with a specific print option), then in Report Designer add an image element bound to a SQL query that retrieves that specific media item ID; end users then need to open the media item's own management page and explicitly set its "Media Print Option" to enable printing before it will actually appear on the generated report.
