A Mail Reader configured with POP3 and TLS receives some incoming supplier emails correctly but silently fails to receive others, with no obvious configuration difference between the emails that come through and the ones that don't.

Answer

Compare the subject line LENGTH of a received email against one that wasn't received — if an email's subject line exceeds roughly 200 characters, it won't be picked up or shown via the IFS application at all. This length-based cutoff can look like an intermittent, unpredictable configuration issue, but it's actually a hard subject-length limit on incoming mail processing, unrelated to the specific POP3/TLS configuration itself.
