A newly created custom Java Transformer fails to compile with a missing-JAR-dependency error, and the Maven repository URL referenced in the generated pom.xml (an internal repository host) can't be resolved from the development machine ('Unknown host' error). How is this resolved without access to that internal repository?

Answer

Rather than trying to resolve dependencies from an unreachable internal repository host, copy the required JAR files directly into your local project instead — specifically the connect and base runtime JARs found under the javaruntime folder of your IFS server installation's repository\server\javaruntime\ directory. Adding these local copies to your transformer project's classpath resolves the missing-dependency compilation error without needing network access to any internal Maven repository.
