Two practical ways to test a newly configured mail sender without building anything new: (1) use the built-in 'Email Report' option available directly from a report's own Preview screen, sending a live report to a test recipient address to confirm mail delivery works end-to-end; or (2) create a simple custom Email-type Event Action, triggered by a condition you control, specifically to confirm the underlying mail configuration sends successfully.
