Those additional framework JARs are documented under the Transport Connector Development section of the technical documentation rather than the Transformer Development section — despite Transformer and Transport Connector being different integration mechanisms, they share the same underlying framework JARs, and the common/base framework classes are bundled into the J2EE-related JAR referenced there.
