Is IFS Applications OLE DB compliant, so it could be connected to from another application via a standard Microsoft OLE DB API?

Answer

IFS's own application layer doesn't need to be OLE DB compliant for this to work — since IFS Applications runs on an Oracle database as its back end, any standard OLE DB driver for Oracle can be used to connect to and expose that same underlying data via OLE DB, the same way an ODBC driver for Oracle would work for ODBC-based connectivity. This applies regardless of the specific IFS Applications version, since it's a property of the Oracle database layer rather than something IFS itself needs to separately support.
