Is it possible to adjust the polling/reading frequency of an IFS Connect File or FTP Reader (for example, to make it check for new files only once a day at a specific time, or conversely to check more often than the default), the way earlier releases allowed?

Not from IFSAPP10 onward — earlier releases (IFSAPP9 and before) processed one message per poll, so an adjustable poll-time setting made sense, but this was redesigned in IFSAPP10 for efficiency: readers now fire twice every minute and process all waiting messages at once in that pass, rather than polling on a separately configurable schedule. Because of this redesign, there's no supported way to adjust a reader's polling frequency (faster or slower, including a once-daily schedule) on IFSAPP10 or later.
