PERSON_INFO_TAB has a PICTURE_ID column referencing a user's picture, but there's no obvious table storing the actual picture data — where is the binary image data itself stored, for an external application that needs to retrieve user pictures?

Answer

The actual binary picture data is stored in the generic binary-object storage table, retrievable with: SELECT t.data FROM Binary_Object_Data_Block_TAB t WHERE t.blob_id = <picture_id>;, using the PICTURE_ID value from PERSON_INFO_TAB as the blob_id. PICTURE_ID is just a reference key — the actual image bytes live in this shared binary-storage table rather than a dedicated pictures table.
