The SFTP Sender connector always uploads the output file under a temporary filename first and only renames it to the final filename after the upload completes — is there a configuration option to have it write directly under the final filename from the start, since some receiving systems don't expect a rename step?

Answer

This temporary-filename-then-rename behavior is by design, confirmed by IFS — it exists specifically so the receiving end doesn't pick up a partially-written file mid-transfer by watching for the final filename to appear only once the upload is complete. There's no configuration option to disable this behavior; achieving a direct final-filename write would require a customization rather than a standard setting.
