How is the accounting information shown in the Inventory Transaction History window's Accounting tab actually linked back to a specific inventory transaction, since the underlying accounting table doesn't obviously expose a transaction ID, site, or part number column?

Answer

The accounting record's own ID field is understood to correspond to the transaction ID on the inventory-transaction side — that shared identifier is the join key for building a report connecting the two, even though the accounting table's visible columns don't otherwise make that relationship obvious; verify this join against your own data before relying on it in a report, since it isn't documented as an explicit foreign key.
