Sticky Notes are confirmed deprecated in the web client, with no planned equivalent for the same free-floating "in your face" reminder experience — Custom Fields are the suggested alternative for retaining the underlying information going forward. There's no built-in migration tool, but existing Sticky Notes data isn't deleted, so it remains extractable from the database if you need to recover it during or after an upgrade.
