Make sure an actual SQL statement is entered for the Quick Report — a Crystal-Report-type Quick Report that's otherwise fully configured but left without its own SQL statement can fail to save with exactly this confusing stream-related error; entering the SQL statement (even if the report's real logic mostly lives in the Crystal layout itself) resolves it.
