A Quick Report / Data Set expression calling a custom API method to pull in an extra field (e.g. something like `&AO.Some_API.Get_Some_Value(ORDER_NO)`) throws an error, while a very similar expression for a different field on the same record works fine. What commonly causes this?

Check carefully for a stray extra space anywhere inside the expression — especially right after the &AO. API-call prefix and before the rest of the method name. An unintended space partway through the call makes the parser interpret the expression as though it's expecting a FROM keyword at that point, producing an error. Removing the stray space, so the whole thing reads as one unbroken method-call expression, resolves it.
