Check whether the parameter names themselves contain a forward-slash character, like &From_dd/mm/yyyy — that slash character inside the parameter NAME is what breaks the Excel-export/Excel-Plugin path specifically, even though the exact same parameter name works fine when just viewing the report normally rather than exporting it. Rename the parameter to remove the slash, for example to just &FromDate, and the Excel export error resolves.
