A Report Rule has been set up to route a specific report to a particular logical printer whenever a condition is met, but the Report Format & Output dialog still shows the user's default network printer instead, even though selecting 'show all printers' confirms the logical printer is available.

Answer

Use the action type Set Property with the PrinterId action property in the Report Rule, rather than trying to set the printer some other way — this makes the Report Format & Output dialog come up with the rule's printer already selected and greyed out (not changeable). If you'd rather have the dialog default to that printer while still letting the user override it if needed, use Set Default Property instead of Set Property with the same PrinterId action property.
