Custom fields added to a Report Designer layout show correctly on the underlying IFS page and populate data there, but don't appear in the generated PDF even after saving the layout changes.

Check whether you're previewing with an archive key that was created before the custom fields were added to the report — an old archive key won't carry the newly-added custom field data no matter how correctly the layout itself references them. Print/order the report again from IFS to generate a fresh archive key, and preview using that new key instead, which should then correctly fetch and display the custom field values.
