IFS Business Reporter can't connect to an IFS Cloud environment — entering the server URL with a port gives one error, and without a port gives another, and the environment also shows an invalid/untrusted certificate warning when logging in through the browser.

Answer

If the certificate is the underlying issue (common on internal/training environments using a self-signed or otherwise untrusted certificate), export and install that certificate into the client machine's Trusted Root Certification Authorities store: in the browser, click through the 'certificate is not valid' warning to its Details tab, export the certificate as a .crt file, then open and install that file specifically into Trusted Root Certification Authorities. Once the certificate is trusted at the OS level, Business Reporter's connection to the Cloud environment can succeed where it previously failed on the untrusted-certificate error.
