Reinstall the IFS Report Data Extension — this is the actual Visual Studio/SSRS extension component that provides the 'IFS Data Source' connection type, and if it becomes corrupted, unregistered, or otherwise stops working (independent of the core Visual Studio installation itself), reinstalling just that extension restores the IFS Data Source option and normal report-development functionality.
