In IFS Business Reporter, is it possible to use a function like NVL inside an Advanced Filter condition, to let an optional parameter (like a Branch code) mean 'show all' when left blank, versus filtering to a specific value when it's populated?

Answer

A direct inline NVL-style expression written straight into the Advanced Filter's condition editor doesn't work the way it would in raw SQL. Instead, apply the function (such as NVL) within a Function Parameter definition, built from a standard input parameter, and then reference that resulting computed Function Parameter's output in the Advanced Filter condition, rather than trying to embed the conditional function logic directly inline in the filter condition itself.
