Is it possible to make a Crystal Report (run via a Quick Report RMB on a Shop Order) print a number of copies equal to a field's value (like Qty Complete), with each copy showing its own sequence like '1/5, 2/5, 3/5...'?

Answer

Yes — create a small helper database table with a single sequence-number column, populate it with sequential values (e.g. 1 through 5000, more than enough to cover any realistic quantity), create a view on that table, and grant SELECT on the view to the relevant users. Add that view to the Crystal Report with no join/linkage to the main report data, then add a report filter condition comparing the helper view's sequence number to the quantity field, e.g. {HELPER_VIEW.SEQ_NO} <= {SHOP_ORDER.QTY_COMPLETE} — this causes Crystal to generate exactly one report copy per matching sequence row (i.e., exactly Qty Complete copies), which can then be combined with Crystal's own page-numbering features to print the 'n of total' sequence on each copy.
