When setting up Permission Sets for Aurena users, what overlaps and differences are there with Enterprise Explorer's own security setup — is Aurena security fully self-contained, does it affect IEE access too, and is there a way to grant one universal CRUD-access setting that applies to both clients at once?

Answer

Aurena security (Projection and page access via Permission Sets) can be fully configured within Aurena's own Solution Manager security pages — there's no need to go back into Enterprise Explorer for this. However, due to fundamental differences in how the two clients handle security and CRUD access, setting up Aurena access doesn't automatically grant or affect the equivalent Enterprise Explorer forms' access at all — IEE access has to be configured separately, through IEE's own Solution Manager. There is no single universal setting that grants matching CRUD access across both clients simultaneously at the database level; each client's security model needs to be configured on its own terms.
