A workflow's API task creates a record successfully (confirmed working the same call via Postman), but running the workflow itself doesn't seem to produce any visible effect, without an error.

Check whether the workflow was run in Troubleshoot/Debug mode — data changes made by API tasks during a debug run are deliberately not persisted, so nothing will actually appear even though the workflow reports success; add a Read task right after the write step and re-run in Troubleshoot mode to confirm what was actually written, or run it live to see the real effect.
