Is there a way to trigger custom PL/SQL logic (not just a standard email) when a specific background job finishes, like a scheduled "Create Pick List for Customer Order" job?

Answer

Standard background-job event actions are limited to Email and can't be changed to run other logic — to execute custom PL/SQL when a specific background job completes, create a custom event on the DeferredJob logical unit instead, with a condition that narrows it to the exact job you care about, and use that job record's own attributes to identify the related business objects (like the order or shipment) inside your PL/SQL routine.
