A barcode font (3of9) copied from Production to a Test environment, along with the Crystal Report that uses it, doesn't print the barcode correctly on the Test server (Windows Server 2019) even though everything else about the report prints fine.

Answer

Check how the font file was actually installed — simply copying the font file into the Windows Fonts folder isn't enough to properly register it system-wide. Right-click the font file itself and choose 'Install for all users,' which correctly installs it into C:\Windows\Fonts and registers it for every user/service on the machine (including the service account the print/report process runs under), rather than just placing the file in the folder without going through the proper installation step.
