After applying an Update, custom Materialized Views stop refreshing automatically, even though their Next Refresh parameter shows a valid future date/time — manually refreshing them still works fine, so the underlying code and objects aren't the problem.

Answer

Check whether the underlying Oracle scheduler job backing that Materialized View's automatic refresh got disabled as a side effect of the update process. Re-enabling that underlying Oracle job restores automatic refresh without needing to touch the Materialized View's own definition or refresh logic at all.
