Running Oracle 12c and Oracle 19c side by side on the same server is workable, as long as each version's listener uses a separate port — for example, keeping the existing Oracle 12c listener on port 1521 and configuring the new Oracle 19c listener on a different port like 1522. Configuring distinct listener ports per Oracle home is the key consideration for running both versions concurrently on one machine.
