For a fully IFS-hosted (managed) Cloud environment, what's the process for connecting Developer Studio — does it still need direct database host/service/username/password/schema details provided the way Apps10 did, or does it work differently since IFS hosts the environment?

Answer

Download and install Developer Studio locally from the IFS Developer Portal — unlike Apps10, you don't need to run it via Citrix. Since current IFS Cloud's source code is separated out, you also need to pull the source code from JFrog Artifactory along with your solution repository and feed both into Developer Studio when setting up your local project, rather than connecting the tool directly to database credentials the way Apps10's Developer Studio setup worked. IFS's own technical documentation on setting up the local development environment covers the specific project-setup steps for this JFrog-plus-repository-based workflow.
