A Quick Report fails with 'Invalid Member Name' even though the exact same SQL runs perfectly in PL/SQL Developer, and the query includes a couple of UNION ALL statements plus prompts like ('%&User_ID%') that have worked fine in other reports before.
The Select Statement field used when adding a Custom Field is a single-line, ticker-tape-sized box that's nearly impossible to work in for anything beyond a trivial one-line SQL statement. Is there a way to get a properly sized text editor for it?
Developer Studio's installer fails partway through, with reinstalling, uninstalling, and rebooting all failing to fix it, and the previous version now warns it will only work with Apps9-era projects.
A Quick Report's PL/SQL WHERE clause needs to compare against a literal string containing an ampersand character (e.g. 'Dungeons & Dragons'), but including the literal & causes 'Invalid member name' — how do you actually get a literal ampersand into the comparison?
A new custom field, added to an existing custom tab's structure on the Functional Object screen, is approved, published, and synchronized, and the configuration has been reloaded — but it still doesn't show up in the Object Properties list to actually add to the tab.
What's the actual technical model behind 'Installing behind a Proxy' for an IFS Cloud remote deployment — is a proxy something IFS provides or requires?
Moving an on-prem VM-based IFS environment (DB + Middleware) to Azure, mainly kept around for occasional reference use by a couple of Finance/Operations users — is it safe to power the VMs off outside business hours and scale down their assigned resources to cut costs, and are there any IFS-specific steps needed beyond that?
A Production environment starts hanging at exactly the same time every day, coinciding with a recurring daily backup job, and 'restarting mwsctl' temporarily fixes it until the same time the next day — this started right after cloning a new TEST environment from PROD.
Is there a way to export an entire BPA workflow — including every one of its multiple versions — to migrate it to another environment, rather than using the per-version 'Download Workflow' option one version at a time?
ScopeTool reports an error about having more than 4 levels when trying to prepare a Book of Rules (which then only generates a first page, with no Table of Contents or chapters), but it's not obvious which specific part of the scope structure is actually causing the extra level.
A custom Oracle password-verification function, compiled successfully under SYS with no errors, can't be added to an Oracle Profile — the profile configuration reports the function can't be found, even though it clearly exists and compiled fine.
Creating a new Database Task to call a parameterless custom procedure from a custom package, the Method picker's search doesn't make it obvious how to actually locate that custom procedure.
After upgrading Developer Studio, an existing project won't save its database connections — they can be added and tested successfully, but the database still shows a broken-connection icon every time the connection dialog is closed.
A custom field's SQL, checking JT_EXECUTION_INSTANCE_UIV.TASK_LEADER_DB (a flag indicating the task leader/lead engineer) with WHERE TASK_LEADER_DB = TRUE, runs without error but returns the wrong resource — it seems to just return whichever resource was assigned first, not specifically the task leader.
What's the best way to get a list of any invalid database objects (including custom ones) in an IFS environment, rather than writing a custom query against the Oracle data dictionary?
For a DR/replication setup using Oracle Data Guard, does an IFS AFSU-style Oracle license directly determine which Oracle Database features (Tuning Pack, Diagnostics Pack, Active Data Guard, Data Guard, etc.) are available to use?
Removing a custom field via the UI (e.g. Custom Fields window) makes it disappear from the screen, but the underlying database column/definition still exists — what's the proper way to fully remove it?
Publishing a Reference-type custom attribute on a custom entity (referencing another custom entity's attribute) fails with a compilation error during LU publish, even though the referenced entity and attribute both deployed successfully and every other attribute on the same entity publishes fine.
After applying a delivery/SU to an on-prem/remote environment, login stops working entirely (both Aurena and the desktop client) with a Java NoClassDefFoundError inside the OpenID/authentication provider component, even though all middleware managed servers, deployments, and data sources show healthy and the database is up.
For a fully IFS-hosted (managed) Cloud environment, what's the process for connecting Developer Studio — does it still need direct database host/service/username/password/schema details provided the way Apps10 did, or does it work differently since IFS hosts the environment?
IFS's documentation says outbound File Sender output (e.g. a CSV file) can be tested using Developer Studio, but doesn't explain how to actually verify the generated file content without setting up a real FTP/SFTP server as the target.
How do you pass a parameter (e.g. a Payroll ID) from an IFS screen to an external C# application launched via a custom menu's 'external program' type — the form data needs to reach the external program somehow?
How do you restart the IFS Connect Server on a hosted Apps10 environment when it stops responding?
Using the 'Output to Excel' option on an IEE screen, the generated file always ends up in a temp folder (that gets cleared on the next Windows logout) instead of the default save location configured in Excel's own options — is there a way to make IFS respect the Excel default save path?
A fresh IFS Cloud K8s installation finishes all install steps, but the environment isn't accessible — some pods are stuck in a Pending state or get Evicted, with no obvious single error.
Middleware SSL works fine when accessed by hostname (e.g. server1) but returns 'Forbidden' when accessed by the fully qualified domain name (e.g. server1.example.com), even though the SSL certificate itself covers both names.
A Command Group action added to a projection (e.g. to generate a report) fails with a generic 'Database error occurred. Contact administrator' message with no other detail, even though the exact same underlying method works fine when called from a custom RMB menu in the older EE client, and removing the method's parameters doesn't change the error.
Is there documentation on how to create a Custom API / custom API methods in IFS Cloud — a lot of the technical documentation site's links on this topic seem broken?
What is FND_EVENT_ACTION_API.ACTION_EXECUTEONLINESQL actually for, and why is there no documentation or example for how to call it as a standalone Database Task?
A background job running an Execute Online SQL event action fails with ORA-01400 ('cannot insert NULL into JT_TASK_CFT.ROWKEY'). What's actually wrong?
During a fresh IFS Cloud Kubernetes installation, pod creation fails with ErrImagePull/ImagePullBackOff, with the underlying error showing a 403 Forbidden from the JFrog Artifactory image registry ('User ... is not permitted to deploy ... into docker-hub-cache').
How do you populate a persistent custom field on a new Customer Order header with the value of a related custom field held on the Customer record, so the value carries over automatically at order-creation time (while still letting users override it on the order afterward)?
How do you pull a custom field's value from one entity (like CustomerInfo) onto a page that's built on a different, related entity (like Business Lead or Business Opportunity)?
Is there a built-in way to automatically generate Pick Lists for Customer Orders once everything is in stock (accounting for the order's backorder option), rather than manually running the 'Create Pick Lists for Customer Orders' page each time?
A Scheduled Database Task is configured with a parameter meant to restrict it to a specific site's Customer Orders, but it ends up processing orders from other sites too, even though the parameter looks correctly set.
Is it possible to add a custom (persistent) field to a dialog box — for example, the 'Receive' dialog opened from the Register Order Arrivals screen — the way you can add one to a normal page?
A custom API function works fine when tested directly in Oracle, in a Lobby element, and in a Quick Report, but calling that same function from an IAL (Information Access Layer) query returns 'table or view does not exist' — even though permissions have been granted and the projection cache has been refreshed.
The Deliveries page on Build Place lists delivery packages created after an OrderDelivery — is there a limit to how many are shown, and are older delivery packages actually deleted once they age out of that list?
PL/SQL code inside a Custom Event that queries a view built on VOUCHER (like voucher_row) to check related records before allowing an approval works fine in an older release but throws a mutating-table error against VOUCHER_TAB on a newer one.
