The platform-supported way to change an existing archived report's expiration date is the Report_Archive_SVC.Do_Change_Exp_Date method — build a Data Migration job around that method (rather than trying to write directly to the archive/archive-distribution views, which don't hold this in an obviously editable form) to apply the change in bulk across already-archived reports.
