Migrating from the Java Print Agent to the newer .NET Print Agent — is it possible to run both side by side temporarily while transitioning logical printers over one at a time, rather than cutting over all at once?

Answer

Yes — both Print Agents can run in parallel, as long as each logical printer is only mapped in one of them at a time (never the same logical printer configured in both simultaneously). Also make sure the REST port the .NET Print Agent uses is actually free on the host machine — if another process already has that port, just configure the .NET Print Agent to use a different one.
