Running a custom PL/SQL block that queries a standard IFS view (e.g. USER_GROUP_USER) and calls a standard API function (e.g. USER_GROUP_API.GET_NAME()) fails with ORA-01031: insufficient privileges, with no indication of which specific privilege is missing. How do you figure out what to grant?
After importing updated trusted root certificates into the Oracle Wallet (e.g. because a third-party integration like Slack rotated its certificates), outbound HTTPS calls from the database (via UTL_HTTP) still fail with a certificate validation error. Does anything actually need to be restarted for the updated wallet to take effect?
Deploying a customization that overtakes a base method (rather than overriding it) fails as a hard error for one developer but only shows as a warning for a colleague on the same Cloud environment and the same Developer Studio version. Why the inconsistency, and which behavior is actually correct?
The IAM pod is stuck in CrashLoopBackOff on a new IFS Cloud K8s installation, and the current pod logs don't show enough detail to explain why, even though network connectivity to the database checks out fine and DB init completed successfully. Where do I look for more detail?
Is there a built-in way to automate the twice-yearly daylight saving time adjustment across sites in different time zones, rather than manually updating something at 2am on the changeover weekend?
Is the IFS .NET Print Agent compatible with Windows Server 2022?
Aurena Agent's provided installer is a user-level MSI (it doesn't need admin rights, but also can't be pushed out via centralized admin-level deployment tools), and it depends on a Windows security setting ('Allow user-level native messaging hosts installed without admin permissions') that some security policies disable by GPO for hardening reasons. If a customer can't enable that setting, is there an admin-level install option instead?
Installing the Crystal Web Service on a Windows server for IFS Cloud (23R2) fails partway through with an unclear error. What's usually missing?
Trying to deploy to a remote/hosted IFS Cloud Middle Tier by running the Build Place's deployment script against a self-hosted Ubuntu VM times out trying to SSH into the box, even though the hostname was set correctly and there's no obvious firewall blocking it.
A Custom Event's variable is automatically populated from the changed record's data (e.g. NEW:DESCRIPTION), but if that value happens to contain a single quote, the event action fails with a SQL syntax error, since the substituted value breaks out of the surrounding quoted string literal.
Is it possible to programmatically generate and print an operational report PDF (for example a Purchase Requisition) from PL/SQL, the same way the client's own Print/Preview command does, rather than just triggering the print dialog interactively?
Is it possible to run IFS Cloud against a database other than Oracle?
A projection customization adds a checkbox-style Boolean attribute to an entity, which correctly renders as a checkbox in the client, but saving a record fails with a deserialization error ('Invalid json type: BOOLEAN for Edm.String property'). What's actually wrong?
A very long-running operation triggered interactively from the client (e.g. processing/releasing a large invoice) reliably fails with a 'Request Aborted' error after roughly 30 minutes, even though the underlying processing would eventually finish given more time. Is there a setting to raise this limit?
Is there a way to restrict the /admin landing page so it's only reachable from specific internal hosts (like a jump host), while the regular application landing page stays reachable from all client devices — given /admin runs on the same port as the main application, so it can't simply be split onto a separate restricted port the way the Middleware Console can?
Is there documentation for IFS's PL/SQL API functions (parameters, return values, what they do) the way API Explorer documents the REST/OData APIs? A PL/SQL function like Get_Estimated_Material_Cost() doesn't seem to have a documented equivalent, and the REST API for the same area doesn't expose the same functions.
Is there a built-in framework utility to convert a PL/SQL record (or array of records) from a custom projection's structure into a JSON CLOB, and back, rather than having to build the JSON manually field by field — useful for logging large request/response payloads to a CLOB column?
Can a custom/add-on component's client file use a standard projection that technically belongs to a different core component (e.g. an add-on client referencing CustomerOrderHandling, which belongs to the Order component)? Is that technically restricted?
Developer Studio's Static Code Analysis flags a projection entity action as 'not implemented' (a P2 issue blocking deployment), even on actions that appear correctly configured and even show the same warning in IFS's own unmodified core projection files. Is there a way to tell SCA to skip this check for a specific action?
How do you give a specific pod in an IFS Cloud K8s deployment more capacity to handle load — for example the OData pod under heavy usage?
Is there a permission needed to see the SQL statements behind a Server Invoke in the debug/trace view — the SQL section just isn't showing anything?
IFS Cloud's documentation says non-multitenant (single-instance) Oracle databases aren't supported — what actually goes wrong if a customer upgrading from an older Apps version uses a single-instance database anyway?
Can a Scheduled Database Task be set up to run multiple times a day, on specific weekdays, without creating a separate scheduled task for each time slot (e.g. 3 runs a day, Monday to Friday)?
After upgrading between IFS Cloud versions (e.g. 22R2 to 23R1), a projection that a customization or integration depended on (like CustomerReceiptHandling) seems to have disappeared from the projection list entirely, breaking the dependent business process. How do you find out what happened to it / what replaced it?
Migrating from the Java Print Agent to the newer .NET Print Agent — is it possible to run both side by side temporarily while transitioning logical printers over one at a time, rather than cutting over all at once?
Setting up an IFS Cloud cluster (multi-node), the ingress-related pods (e.g. linkerd-proxy-injector, linkerd-destination) stay stuck in PodInitializing after joining a node and running the ingress setup script, with no clear error. What's the fix?
Update Analyzer doesn't flag a Cust-layer customization's dependency on a standard PL/SQL procedure whose argument list changed in a service update — even though the change should logically be exactly the kind of interface impact the tool is meant to catch. Is this a bug, or a known limitation?
A multi-node IFS Cloud remote-deployment cluster with a load balancer returns 'default backend - 404' when trying to open the landing page via the local hostname, even though pods appear to be deploying. Where should you check first?
A 'Shrink LOB Segments' scheduled database task, which had been running fine, starts failing with a warning referencing an Oracle DBMS_REDEFINITION error. What's the actual root cause, and how do you fix it?
A custom projection action with no input parameters, that returns a Number, deploys successfully but fails every time it's called with ODP_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR ('Error while de-serializing contents'), even though the request has no body to deserialize.
Is it possible to add or modify a custom HTTP response header (e.g. a custom field/value) on the response returned by a custom projection's API?
A custom API package (built via PL/SQL Developer, with Module_ and Lu_Name_ declared, dictionary cache refreshed, and EXECUTE granted to IFSSYS and the end-user role) still doesn't show up in the Task Name picker when creating a new Scheduled Database Task. What's missing?
Is IFS planning a next major version of Enterprise Explorer (e.g. an 'IEE v11') to succeed Apps 9/10's client?
Looping a call to a *_API.MODIFY__() procedure across many records only actually updates the first record in the loop, even though a log table confirms every iteration of the loop genuinely ran. Why does only the first record change?
After deploying a customization via Developer Studio's 'Generate Code and Deploy' followed by a Dictionary Cache refresh, unrelated custom API packages start throwing ORA-04061 ('existing state... has been invalidated') / ORA-06508 errors when called from active sessions or background jobs, even though the deployed code has nothing to do with the failing package.
Is Windows Server 2022 Server Core a supported/recommended option for the IFS Cloud Installation and Management Server, or should a full Desktop Experience install be used instead?
Requesting a Release Update in Release Studio fails immediately with 'Request Release Update Failed... contact your IFS Account Manager' and error code E0001, even after a successful impact assessment. What actually causes this?
Logging into IFS Report Designer fails even for a user with full permissions in the main application — is there a separate permission specifically required for Report Designer access?
During a 23R1 remote/clustered installation, several ifs-ingress-related pods (linkerd components, the nginx ingress controller and default backend) never come up, with no errors logged anywhere in the install logs or the ingress install log specifically.
