An external link can be built to a Document Folder in the folder tree, opening that folder as the navigator's root. Is it possible instead to build an external link that opens the folder tree at a higher level but has it automatically select and display one specific subfolder shown within that tree?

Answer

No — a direct external link to the Document Folder navigator can only ever default the navigator's focus to the TOP of whatever folder it points at, regardless of what's embedded in the link. There's no way to make an external link auto-select and display a specific subfolder deeper within a shown folder tree. The link can either point directly at that specific subfolder as its OWN root folder, effectively opening that subfolder itself as the top-level view, or point at a higher folder in the tree, requiring the user to manually navigate down to the desired subfolder from there.
