Routing the report through IFS Connect using one of the XML-output logical printers, then writing a transformer that converts that XML into your target format, is a general pattern for this — it lets print-time output feed straight into IFS Connect's outbound routing rather than requiring a separate scheduled job to produce the same derived file.
