A direct IFS window URL, in the form `...Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application?url=ifsapf%3AfrmName%3Faction%3Dget%26key1%3D12345`, works fine when used directly, but pasting it into a third-party tool like Microsoft Planner causes the tool to silently reformat the URL-encoded characters in a way that breaks the link when clicked.

Answer

Use the External Search URL syntax instead of the plain action=get/key1= syntax: ifsapf:frmName?EXTERNAL_SEARCH=<KEY_FIELD>=<value> (for example ifsapf:frmCaseHeader?EXTERNAL_SEARCH=CASE_ID=176362). This syntax survives being pasted into third-party tools that silently reformat URL-encoded characters, continuing to work correctly where the plain action=get/key1= syntax breaks.
