A Lobby chart element's data source is an IAL, and users want to click a segment of the chart, like a specific year/week, to drill down into the full underlying detail records for that segment — is there a way to build this kind of drill-down directly to the IAL or an Information Source query?

Answer

There isn't a direct built-in drill-down mechanism straight into an IAL or Information Source query from a Lobby chart element. The practical workaround is to build a Quick Report against that same IAL, containing the full underlying detail data, and link the Lobby chart element's navigation to that Quick Report, passing through whatever values the user clicked, like the specific year and week number, as the report's filter parameters. This achieves the intended drill-down effect, clicking a chart segment surfaces the full underlying detail for that segment, though the Quick Report's own parameter-prompt dialog will still need to be acknowledged/confirmed by the user each time, since there isn't a way to fully suppress that prompt and jump straight to the filtered results.
