Previewing a Lobby Counter element returns zero/no data, even though the underlying Data Source query is confirmed to return real records when tested directly — what's a common, easily-overlooked cause?

Check whether a recent edit to the Data Source element was actually saved before previewing — modifying a Data Source and then immediately clicking Preview without saving can end up previewing the original, unmodified (and possibly zero-result) version of the data source rather than your edited one. Saving the Data Source element's changes first, then previewing again from the Element Designer, resolves this in cases where the underlying query itself is confirmed correct.
