A Crystal Report Quick Report fails with 'Error in retrieving the parameters' when viewed, and the client-side logs don't show anything more specific than the navigation call itself. Where should you actually be looking?

This class of error is almost always on the Crystal Web Service side, not the client — check that the report layout file has actually been placed in the OpenReportPath location configured in CWS, that the Crystal-related System Parameters in Aurena were set up after the CWS installation (not just the CWS installation itself), and look at the Crystal Web Service's own logs specifically, since the client-side log won't surface a detailed CWS-side error. Also double-check the report layout was built following IFS's guidelines for a Crystal Report used as a Quick Report — a layout built outside those guidelines can produce this same generic parameter-retrieval error.
