A Crystal Report Quick Report fails with 'Error in retrieving the parameters' when viewed, and the client-side logs don't show anything more specific than the navigation call itself. Where should you actually be looking?
When a report is routed through Report Rules to IFS Connect (e.g. copying the output file to a file store) instead of sending it to a physical printer, can the PDF Inserts feature still be used to append a static PDF (like Terms & Conditions) to the generated output?
Print jobs sent to a logical printer that isn't mapped to a real physical printer (e.g. a 'PDFEMAILER'-style logical printer used purely so a custom event can pick up and email the PDF) get stuck in 'Remote Working' status in Cloud, instead of completing the way they did on-prem in Apps9. What's missing?
A Quick Dimension needs to be connected to an existing Fact information source's access view (so it can be queried alongside the fact's other dimensions), but adding it through the Information Sources screen fails (no matching dimension ID on the fact table), and the Custom Dimension Connections screen also errors out. How do you actually wire a Quick Dimension into a Fact?
A Report Rule's OutputFileName expression works fine combining several report fields, but adding a date field (to include the invoice date as YYYYMMDD in the filename) produces no error but also no output at all.
Report Images (e.g. uploading a company logo) suddenly fails to even load the screen, showing a 'Payload too large' style error, even though the image file itself is small (well under any obvious size limit).
Automating printing/advancing an invoice to a specific status (e.g. 'PostedAuth') by calling CustomerOrderInvHead_PrintInvoice from a workflow fails with ORA-00034 ('cannot ROLLBACK/SET SAVEPOINT in current PL/SQL session'). Is there a way to trigger this kind of invoice-print action from a workflow instead?
Business Reporter Execution Server (BRES) reports get stuck permanently in 'Rendering in Progress' on the report queue, can't be deleted through the normal UI, and block every other report from running. How do you clear them out?
A check-printing report (built on a repeating-record RDF layout, where any check spanning more than one page gets voided by the standard IFS logic) needs a summary/amount-details block printed at an exact fixed position near the bottom of the page — a repeating footer element can't be used because it can't bind to the specific table values needed, and simply enlarging a table cell prints inconsistently since the number of preceding rows varies.
Is there a documented procedure for adding extra images (beyond the standard logo) to a report layout in Report Designer for IFS Cloud?
Crystal Web Service returns 'No PDF report returned' and the Crystal debug log shows 'The table could not be found' for a specific view used in the report layout, even though the report runs fine directly against the database with the app-owner user.
Adding a new column (e.g. Invoice Number) to a Report Designer layout (.rdl) doesn't make it show up on the printed output, even though the field was successfully added and the layout saved without errors.
A Crystal Report configured for a Quick Report (e.g. a Customer Order Pick List) doesn't display at all when viewed through Quick Reports, even with the selection formula correctly matching the IFS result key. Is Crystal Web Service actually required, or can Crystal reports run without it?
Can a query built in Query Designer be used as the data source for a Quick Report, the way it can be published and consumed elsewhere in IFS Cloud?
What actually controls whether a user can see a report in their Report Archive — is it purely based on who ordered it, or can reports be shared with other users?
An IAL needs to be far larger than the 4000-character SQL statement limit the client UI enforces (a genuinely complex Business Reporter source needs closer to 32,000 characters) — is there a way around this limit, short of splitting the IAL into many smaller ones and joining them back together?
A PDF_REPORT_CREATED event action set up to email Customer Invoices gets a null value for PDF_PARAMETER1 (which is supposed to be the recipient email address), even though the event action itself is correctly configured. Where does that parameter's value actually need to be set up?
Custom fields show up available in some Report Designer Layouts (e.g. via a _CFV view for Shipment Delivery Note) but not others, even though 'Enabled On Reports' is checked on the custom field. How do you know whether a specific report actually supports custom fields at all?
Business Reporter's Excel add-in fails to save a modified report (with previously published versions), throwing an unclear 'Software failure / Unexpected error' exception referencing internal SaveGui methods, while other reports (and even a trivial change like adding an empty sheet to this same report) save without issue.
Exporting a Crystal-Report-based Quick Report only seems to produce an XML file, not the actual .rpt layout file the report reference shows as being used — is the .rpt file stored somewhere separate from what a normal quick-report export retrieves?
An event action that emails a printed report (like a Quotation or Purchase Order PDF) as an attachment on the PDF_REPORT_CREATED event isn't actually including the PDF file — the email goes out but arrives with no attachment.
A Report Designer layout includes a barcode image bound to a read-only custom field that's sometimes null, and a placeholder/blank barcode still prints even when the field has no value — is there a way to only print the barcode when the field actually has a value, without maintaining two separate layouts?
Two Operational Reports (like a Service Quotation and a Service Order Acknowledgement) share the same underlying Report Definition and Report_ID with nearly identical data — how do you have a Print button determine which of the two layouts to actually print, instead of leaving it to the user to pick manually every time?
Is there a way to merge the PDF output of two separate report layouts (like an invoice and an invoice specification) into one combined document, ideally so it can be emailed as a single attachment through the PDF_REPORT_CREATED event?
A Report Designer layout's logo prints correctly when a hardcoded value is used, but doesn't print when the exact same value is instead passed in as a bind variable (for example, an IMAGE_NO field confirmed to be printing correctly as plain text elsewhere on the same report) — how do you get a dynamic, per-record logo/image to actually render?
Who's responsible for installing and connecting a customer's own Crystal Server/Crystal Web Service (CWS) to their IFS Cloud environment — is this something the customer can do themselves, or does it require opening a support case?
How do you attach a standard 'Terms and Conditions' PDF to the standard Quotations Report by default, every time it's printed or emailed, without relying on users to manually attach it themselves?
Printing a Crystal Report-based invoice fails with 'No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service,' and the Crystal Web Service log shows an error inside 'LoadInfoServiceReport' failing to load the report — while other Crystal Reports print fine.
A Crystal Report barcode prints correctly (as an actual scannable barcode) for some users, but for others the exact same report prints only the plain numeric value instead of the barcode image.
Print Agent logs a recurring 'Manual decision needed' error from RemotePrintingNode.handleAPException(), and changing the password, updating the URL, and reinstalling Print Agent from a fresh zip don't resolve it.
Is it possible to schedule an Operational Report (like it was possible on IFS10) in IFS Cloud, or is scheduling limited to Quick Reports with a SQL statement?
Is there an IFS tool that lets a user set up an Excel pivot table and refresh its data directly from an IAL view, rather than manually re-exporting data each time?
Two separate IFS instances run on the same application server, and each needs its own Crystal Web Service — but the Add-Ons installer only offers a Remove/Modify option (no fresh Install) once one CWS instance already exists on that server. How do you set up a second, independent CWS instance for the second environment?
A Report Rule set up to send an email when a report is printed via an RMB command (like Print Order Confirmation) doesn't seem to be firing at all — no email arrives, and it's unclear whether the rule itself, its condition, or something else is the problem.
Two Print Agents are installed on the same application server (one for each of two separate Middleware Server instances) — starting the second Print Agent causes the first one to stop working, and only one can run at a time.
In older IFS Application 10, a Business Reporter system parameter (something like 'Enable ALL...') let a report treat an empty parameter value as 'select all' — this parameter doesn't seem to exist in IFS Cloud. How do you get the same 'select all when nothing is entered' behavior in Cloud BR?
In Report Designer, how do you force a group of rows to stay together on the same page rather than splitting across a page break, moving the whole group to the next page instead if there isn't enough room?
Report Designer fails to open with a 'Windows cannot find java\bin\javaw' error — what Java version does Report Designer actually need, and where do you get it?
A field needed for a Report Rule's condition/action isn't available on the target report's own underlying view (for example, a field that exists on a related screen but wasn't included in the report's view) — does adding it require a Developer Studio customization to the report's view?
